Driving Anxiety Software…At A Price You Can’t Beat.

A dark cloud has been hanging over Wisconsin sine Bret Favre announced his retirement. I know most of you think that when you see the Packers fever on TV or in movies or whatever, you think it must be an exaggeration, it can’t possibly be like that. Well no, thats pretty much how it is in Wisconsin. Cheese hats and all. But despite all that, I have a ray of sunshine onto which we can all grasp…
I’ve always been a pretty active guy and one of the things you always read about in fitness books (ones that are any good anyway) is goal setting, positive thinking, and behavior modification. In one I was reading recently, it talked about a little software application that they sold that very quickly popped affirmations up on your computer screen, forcing you to subconsciously digest it all day long. I thought it was a pretty neat idea and I checked it out.
Here’s how it works. Basically an affirmation is nothing more than a positive statement you tell yourself over and over again and eventually you come to believe it. Think it’s bunk? Well, the opposite is a large reason why you’re still afraid of driving. Every time you drive, or think about getting on the highway, or over that bridge, what do you do? You tell yourself how terrible it’ll be, how anxious you’ll get, that you’ll have a panic attack, and all kinds of doom and gloom. How many times have you repeated these negative statements about driving to yourself? 1000? 10,000? More? Probably much more.
Well what if you told yourself something different? What if you told yourself that you weren’t anxious when driving? What if every time you thought about getting on the interstate, or in traffic, or crossing a bridge you told yourself how confident you were, how relaxed you felt. Would that work? It would sure help.
Problem is, you’ve been telling yourself the negative statements for months, years, or however long you’ve been afraid of driving. Most people give up on affirmations because they take too long in the traditional sense. Spending months and months doing affirmations isn’t the most efficient method of recovery. So we need to find a way to force them into your subconscious so they work much quicker.
We need to bypass your critical thinking part of your brain which dismisses the affirmations as a load of BS (after all, you’ve trained your mind to think you’re anxious about driving so that’s all it trusts), and get right into a deeper level of your brain that will believe it much more easily.
There’s a few ways to do that, one of them is in the Driving Fear Program and it’s called Thought Popping, and the other one is using more traditional subliminal means. What’s a subliminal message? It’s a message you give to your brain that isn’t registered fully by your conscious mind but is picked up by your less judgmental subconscious.
So the fitness book I was reading sold this software called Subliminal Power for $97 that accomplished that pretty well. It flashes an affirmation
on your computer screen very quickly at regular intervals. So you can expose yourself to a variety of positive affirmations subliminally all day long while you work on the computer, surf the net, etc. I figured if it can be used for physical transformation, why not the fear of driving?
As those that have been on my list for awhile know, when I find something like this I think that can be used to help my subscribers with their driving anxiety, I do what I can to get you a trial version or discount or something. This time I exceeded myself - I was able to purchase a license that allows me to distribute the software myself at any price I want (I basically bought the license to the software, and trust me, it wasn’t 97 bucks). So I mulled it over and tried to come up with a good price, that would get it into as many of your hands as possible so a bunch of people can put it into their fear of driving arsenal and use it with the program.
At first my plan was to just modify it for driving anxiety and sell it for the $97. There’s nothing else like it for the fear of driving so I figured that would be well received.
Then I figured since some of you already have the program, I can’t sell it for more than the whole program so $50 was more than fair and maybe I’d even eventually make my money back I spent on getting the distribution license.
Finally, later that evening I was talking to a client on the phone who said how nice it was to be able to talk to me since they have a hard time “trusting”programs they find online and knowing I’m a real person who cares makes them feel better.
And it hit me smack between the eyes. If that person feels like that, then there’s probably a bunch of you that do. Just because “I” know I’m real and not full of baloney, you don’t. I knew I had to give this a price that would let you know I’m a real person who wants good things for you, a show of good faith, so we trust one another. I need to take the first step.
How about $0.
Zilch.
Here’s how it’ll go. Enter your name and information at the end of this post and I’ll send you a link to download the software. (yes, for free). There’s going to be an email you’ll have to confirm first, so make sure it doesn’t go to your junk folder and that you make my email rich@drivingfear.com “whitelisted” or whatever your email client calls it when it’s not junk. Even if you’re already a member of my mailing list, you need to join this one to get the download link. You won’t get twice as just mail, it just allows me to know how many people are getting the software.
Feel free to pass a link to this post to anyone you think would find value in the software.
You can fully customize the way it runs. You can change the speed at which the messages are displayed, how long they’re visible for, fonts, colors, transparency, etc. You can even modify what the messages say, although some are built in. I pre-loaded it with really good driving affirmations but if you have a unique fear, go ahead and customize it.
And when you’re done with the program and over your fear of driving, use it to help you stop smoking, lose weight, or whatever else you want to reprogram yourself to accomplish.
So what’s the hook? Where’s the catch?
Jeesh. Can’t a guy just do something nice? But seriously, I know some of you haven’t gotten the program yet, and if things like this help you realize I’m not just a mystery man behind the curtain but someone that actually cares about you and your recovery, if it gains me a little more trust in your eyes, then it’s worth it.
So check it out, it’s simple as can be. Just download the file from the link I’ll send you, double click on the icon and you’re ready to roll. It’ll run in your system tray down by the clock. You can right click on the icon to either exit, pause, or change your preferences.
That’s all I got, hope you like it. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
