Breakthrough
in the study of
subconscious learning shakes the foundation of driving anxiety
treatment...
If you know
anything about me at all, you know one thing - I tell it like it is.
So that means that sometimes
you may not exactly like what I have to say, but hopefully, at least it
means you respect that I give you the truth.
Something else about me you
probably notice by reading my blog and articles is that I’m
never
quite satisfied, I’m always looking for ways to make the
Driving
Fear Program better, to make the success rates even higher than the 96%
+ they are now, or to make it easier, faster, whatever else I can
squeak
out of it.
So
believe me when I tell you, I
found something big.
Huge.

"I ordered the S.A.F.E
Series the day you released it, and listened to it that
night. The
very next day when I drove, I felt like I was "in the zone". I wasn't
nervous at all, what a change! Between the Driving Fear Program and the
S.A.F.E Series, my view of driving has changed completely, from being
terrified by the thought of driving to a feeling of enormous
self-confidence and excitement when I'm behind the wheel. Thanks for
everything - life is good."

This
is Going To Blow The
Doors Off the
Way We Treat Driving Anxiety
I
team up with psychologists and we
often have brainstorming sessions to shoot out ideas about what could
be done to make the program better and even more effective. We talk
about recent research findings, experiences with clients, and anything
and everything we think may be of interest or spark a new idea.
This
past winter, we were having
coffee in our regular hangout where we meet up; I remember it clear as
a bell because it was bitter cold, -15 or something unholy. We were
bouncing ideas off one another, filling each other in on what we had
read about that was interesting or could be applied to driving.
After
about a half hour of going
through the process and coming up blank, we refilled our mugs and made
some small talk about the lousy weather and the traffic it caused on
the roads because no one can drive more than 10 or 15 miles per hour.
She
made an offhand comment that
the local radio station should pipe in subliminal messages
“Stay
in your homes…” and we laughed and moved on the
next topic.
When
I was driving home and
sliding all over the road in my rear wheel drive car (what possessed me
to buy a rear wheel drive car in Wisconsin I’ll never know),
I
turned on the radio and chuckled about what she said.
Then
I got to thinking, why the
heck don’t we hear about subliminal messages anymore?
When
I got home, I gave her a
call and asked what she knew.
I
Told Her She HAD To Tell Me
What She Knew…Now.
She
didn’t know exactly
why subliminal messaging fell out of favor, but she knew advertisers
used them extensively, they were banned in some countries and even in
the US in some situations, and figured people didn’t want to
use
them because there was so much bad press about them being used with
negative consequences, to buy more product, elect a certain political
candidate, etc.
She
also thought a lot of people
thought they were illegal, which isn’t entirely true, the
application of them can be illegal due to how powerful they can be, but
we’ll get to that. Bottom line, she knew they were very
effective, so effective in fact that they needed to be regulated.
I
asked her to give me the high
level view of how subliminal messages work. Here it is in a
nutshell…
How
You’ve
“Trained” Yourself To React With Fear
By
definition, the word
subliminal means "below the threshold of consciousness." The threshold
of consciousness is the dividing line between something that can be
processed by the conscious mind and something that enters the
subconscious mind without any such processing.
When
a person is told to do
something, thinks about doing something, or is engaged in something,
they think about the positive and negative consequences, and then
decide whether or not it is a good idea or whether or not to continue,
or how to react. This is done in the conscious mind.
So
if you think about driving,
or are driving, you decide how to react (with or without fear) and the
consequences, based upon your prior experiences and thought patterns.
What are called “neural pathways” are created in
the brain
based on those experiences. If you’ve had a lot of panic
attacks
while driving, your conscious mind remembers that (with neural
pathways), replays it to your conscious, and it says “Oh no,
I
don’t want to do that again, it’s
scary!”, and you
react with fear. If you always react in that manner, it may look at
prior experience and say “Hey, I see that the last 50 times I
tried to get on the highway I got afraid and had a panic attack, so I
guess I’ll do that again since that’s what I always
do”. As more and more neural pathways are created in the
subconscious your response becomes faster and less input is needed from
the conscious mind.
This
is how we learn many
things, like riding a bike. At first, you have to really pay attention
to what you're doing and it's awkward as your brain creates the neural
pathways for the balance and coordination of bike riding. After a short
time however, as those neural pathways multiply and grow stronger, you
ride and make many subtle adjustments without conscious thought, it's
automatic, you don't have to think about how to ride, you just do and
your subconscious knows how.
What
if we could teach it
different? What if we could go around all that bad conditioning?
Well,
as good as affirmations
are, the problem with them is that have to go through the conscious. So
you may tell yourself, “I’ll be ok, just
relax” but
your conscious mind is judgmental enough to respond, ‘Heck
no,
you won’t be ok, look at what happened the last 50
times!”
We
Can Bypass The Part Of
Your Brain That
Keeps You Afraid of Driving
The
subconscious mind
doesn’t have this type of reasoning so it has no ability to
distinguish right from wrong, or judge the information it receives.
We
can use that.
When
a suggestion enters the
subconscious mind, it is taken as the truth and stored for future
reference as a new neural connection (like the next time you drive).
This is why subliminal messages, when done properly (they’re
usually not), can be virtually limitless in their power and why steps
have been taken to regulate their use. They can actually develop neural
pathways directly in the subconscious.
Check
This Out, This is
Powerful Stuff
In
Australia and Britain, the
use of subliminal advertising has been banned with severe consequences
for those who disobey the strict laws. The Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) in the United States will now revoke a company's
broadcast license if the use of subliminal messages is proven.
Subliminal message usage has also been banned for all members of The
National Association of Broadcasters. In a Nevada court case, the judge
ruled that the First Amendment's protection of freedom of speech and
press does not extend as far as subliminal messages.
Although
I don’t disagree
with these dramatic steps to limit the use of these powerful
psychological techniques, used in the right hands for a positive goal,
they can be astonishingly effective.
This
Isn’t Just My
Opinion, Look How It’s Been Used Already
Let’s
take a quick look at
some facts that highlight the history of subliminal messages

FACT:
During World War II, the tachistoscope, an instrument which projects
pictures for an extremely brief period, was used to train soldiers
subliminally to recognize enemy airplanes.
FACT:
In 1957, a market researcher James Vicary claimed that quickly flashing
messages on a movie screen , in Fort Lee, New Jersey, had influenced
people to purchase more food and drinks. Vicary coined the term
subliminal. Vicary claimed that during the presentation of the
movie Picnic
he used a
tachistoscope to project the words "Drink Coca-Cola" and "Hungry? Eat
popcorn" for 1/3000 of a second at five-second intervals. Vicary
asserted that during the test, sales of popcorn and Coke in that New
Jersey theater increased 57.8 percent and 18.1 percent respectively.
FACT:
A
study (Keys, 1973) was done to test the
effectiveness of an alcohol ad in which the phrase “U
Buy”
was embedded somewhere, backwards in the picture for an advertisement
for Rum. Before the study, participants were able to try to identify
any hidden message in the ad, none found any. In the end, the study
showed 80% of the subjects unconsciously perceived the backward
message, meaning they showed a preference for that particular rum.
Although every subliminal message may not affect everyone, it is
obvious it does affect the behavior or emotion of most.
FACT:
Studies in 2004 and 2006 showed that subliminal exposure to images of
frightened faces will increase the activity of the amygdala (the part
of the brain that controls anxiety and the flight or fight response) in
the brain and also increase skin conductance (what is measured to
detect stress during a polygraph or lie detector test).
FACT:
In
1978, Wichita, Kansas TV station KAKE-TV
received special permission from the police to place a subliminal
message in a report on the BTK Killer (Bind, Torture, Kill) in an
effort to get him to turn himself in.
FACT:
In Warner Brothers' 1943 animated film "Wise Quacking Duck", Daffy Duck
spins a statue which is holding a shield. For one frame the words "BUY
BONDS" are visible on the shield.

Who
uses subliminal messages for positive results?
Ever heard of Anthony Robbins or Tiger Woods?
Introducing
The
S.A.F.E.™ Advantage
You
may have heard what some may
call "subliminal" audios, and they're great to give you a taste of what
it’s all about, but to really put together something done
properly, that is highly customized for a specific fear, something that
WORKS, is tough. It takes a lot of money, know how, effort, technology,
and did I mention money?
I’ve
put together the
Driving Fear Subliminal Series by using a method patented by Lowery patent 5,159,703.
Our proprietary system is
called Subliminal
Auditory Fear Elimination
or S.A.F.E.,
and it’s going to revolutionize the speed at which we can
treat
driving anxiety.
By
now, if you’ve paid
attention at all, you probably trust that this works. But the obvious
question is, why not just grab a subliminal CD off the shelf at the
bookstore?
1)
Subliminals need to be specialized to be effective. You can’t
have it be general like a standard “relaxation”
subliminal,
it’s not enough. It has to be customized for YOUR issue,
which
ours is.
2)
You need to be sure the organization putting out the subliminal is
trustworthy. If they’re not, it can be useless at best and
dangerous at worst. I’ve heard stories of some companies
actually
having subliminals to buy more of their product as part of the
treatment!
3)
Almost no subliminals utilize something called binaural beats, which
make the treatment FAR more successful, especially for phobias. They
don’t use them because they cost a TON of money and are
difficult
to produce (and probably because very few people understand the
difference). If you’ve ever seen a subliminal CD for
$200-$600
then it was probably a binaural beat subliminal. I’ll get
into
the details of what binaural beats are in a moment, but for now, just
take away that they’re necessary.
What
the heck are binaural
beats?

I
admit this can get a little
complicated, I had to ask people to talk real slow to me for a bit for
me to understand it, but I think I can explain the general purpose
pretty well. Once I understood the science behind this and studied the
research, I knew how powerful this was (and saw it was missing in most
other subliminals that were even remotely affordable).
It’s
a commonly known fact
that different brain frequencies are associated with different states
of mind. For example, 8-12Hz is what people sometimes call the
“zone” and is typically only reached through
meditative
practices. We can actually determine what state of
mind someone is
in through monitoring their brain frequency on an EEG.
So
why can’t we just dial
our brain into those frequencies on demand and decide what state we
want to be in? Well, we would be able to if we could hear them.
Unfortunately, we can only hear 20-20,000Hz.
A
German scientist named Dove
discovered in 1939 that we could play two coherent frequencies in EACH
ear and result in a third “binaural beat” of
whatever
frequency we wanted.
For
instance, if we play a 100Hz
signal in one ear and a 120Hz signal in another, our brain will create
a binaural beat of 20Hz.
So
with the right equipment and
knowledge, you can make a recording that produces a binaural beat that
will dial your brain into a zone similar to meditation without having
to spend years learning how!
Not
only that, but your
subconscious is very susceptible to subliminal influences while in this
state, so it’s a perfect time to combine the two.
The
S.A.F.E Series includes a
specialized subliminal system utilizing binaural beats, the first of
its kind I’ve ever seen. Listening to this will be amazing,
if
you’ve ever had a tough time meditating or relaxing, this is
like
a shortcut to calm. Add in the customized driving subliminals and this
is likely the most effective and powerful method of overcoming your
fear ever, it’s targeting your subconscious directly.
What’s
included in the
S.A.F.E Series?
The
S.A.F.E Series is five 30
minute downloadable sessions, with one of them being binaural and 4
being standard backgrounds such as ocean waves, nature sounds, and
music. They are all fully customized by me personally, specifically for
the fear of driving. They cover general anxiety while driving, traffic,
bridges, highways, driving alone, driving with passengers, and much
more. All totaled it is 2.5 HOURS of the best material of its kind.
How
do I order the S.A.F.E
Series?
There’s
two options.
First, I highly recommend
that you use the S.A.F.E. Series WITH
the Driving Fear program for best
results. When you purchase the premium or print edition of the Driving
fear program, the
S.A.F.E Series will be included!
The
Driving Fear program and the
S.A.F.E. Series combination is by far the most powerful system to
overcome your fear of driving ever assembled. Visit or home page or click here to order now.
Or, if you prefer to order
the S.A.F.E. Series by itself, you can do so for $27
